Sean Lennon’s label, Chimera Music showcased some of their artists and collaborators – along with a single-song performance by tUnE-yArDs and a rare performance by the Plastic Ono Band – at Elysium during SXSW 2011. I stumbled in (quite literally) after being slammed against the stage during Odd Future, Dead Milkmen and !!!’s MWTX performances to find Sean Lennon and Greg Saunier creating some ridiculous noise rock under their Consortium Musicum moniker. I stuck around all the way on through the Plastic Ono Band performance and finished SXSW 2011 among friends. It was a great way to end the week and, thus, it’ll be a great way to start my Noise Damage posts of my SXSW 2011 experiences.

After the jump you’ll find photos of the afor-mentioned Consortium Musicum, Fig, mi-gu, tUnE-yArDs and Yoko Ono with the Plastic Ono Band. While images were limited during the last two sets (with a surprise “no photos” request/rule for the Plastic Ono Band’s set) I felt obliged to document the experience to the extent I was capable. So yeah, the widths of images are kinda hosed in this post. When it’s fixed I’ll remove this text. I know what’s up but, hey, I’m human and only have so much time in my day. :)
